Inspiration for This Work

This was a group project with Gloria and Xuly. Each of us focused on our own disciplines and I worked on the interior design of the Mushu store. We were inspired by the patterns of the Dragon's Breath and Chinese calligraphy ink. These characters were then translated into the walls of the store by using chicken wire to create an organic form.

Student Biography

Since I was small, I have love to create a story for everything I see. I think this is the beginning of my creativity. And I am interested in finding out the structure of any object - a chair, or even a bridge! The most exciting part of design is to transform an idea into a three dimensional form or a real object.

In the previous environments studios, I realized that "underground" is an important element in my design. I believe that by staying underground, I can relax from stress brought by daily activities or people I meet, and the clearest mind comes.

Recently, I became interested in theatre and stage design, and I hope to have a chance to know more about this industry.
