Student Biography

Tanya Dyhin is a Sydney based photographer whose recent work is inspired by the people and places of her present day experiences. Following work focussing on neon light, and its place within the contemporary cityscape, Tanya has drawn inspiration from the graffiti covered lane ways of her hometown Melbourne, in a series documenting street art in Sydney and Melbourne.

In a digital age, Tanya enjoys the honesty of analogue photographic forms and has experimented within this framework throughout her more abstract work.

Tanya has also been working for Sony BMG since July 2007, documenting live performance and behind the scenes action for local and international artists.

Tanya will continue to expand her documentary based photography and will take her skills abroad in the future.
