Inspiration for This Work

This work was about developing information graphics to weavers in East Timor to given them a new skill. Weaving is a back braking way of making textiles, however it is traditional to them and is their main source of income. Combining the screening printing with traditional weaves, the women would be able to produce more objects for sale faster and less labour intensive. This idea was a design finalist in the design ideas presented as an option to be used in real life.

Further, the ETWA (East Timor Women Australia) logo was developed to help promote the organisations identity who are supporters of the weavers.
