Student Biography

When were you born?

Singapore, the city squarely between East and West.

What is your background?

Cosmopolitan Singapore where everyone is bilingual, and can greet in at least four languages.

What inspired you to become an artist or designer?

After experiencing fascination and awe from brilliant work, it impresses one to endeavour to create the same sense of engagement in audiences.

Who would you like to work in collaboration with or create something for?

I'd like to do design and illustration work for bands. Music inspires graphic work in more mood-thematic ways.

How has your work evolved over the past 3 years?

I have begun fusing separate interests onto the same 'canvas', from traditional illustrative media to vector graphics and photography to motion graphics.

How can art and design contribute to society?

Art and design develop a society's understanding of aesthetic communication.

Where would you like to work after university?

Something that lets me do graphic design, illustration, art direction, visualisation or production design for films.
