Student Biography

When were you born?

I was born on 22nd August 1987.

What is your background?

I come from Indonesia from a Chinese family, with Indonesian-Hokian speaking background.

What inspired you to become an artist or designer?

The video games (like the old Doom or Quake on PC) and TV animation (like Dexter's Lab) which I watched when I was primary school really inspired me a lot.

Who would you like to work in collaboration with or create something for?

I would really like to work with Hideo Kojima or Shigeru Miyamoto, my favourite game designer, to create interesting, beautiful, and engaging games.

How has your work evolved over the past 3 years?

My work has become more focused on concept arts with a more realistic approach in rendering now, compared to my old very anime style.

How can art and design contribute to society?

Art and design could become the first step in creating any futuristic and modern objects.

Where would you like to work after university?

Game companies: Kojima Production, Nintendo, Blizzard, etc. All are fine for me.
