Student Biography

When were you born?

I was born on the 7th February, 1987.

What inspired you to become an artist or designer?

It was the way in which feelings, emotions and thoughts could be expressed through something tangible.

Who would you like to work in collaboration with or create something for?

I would like to work with someone or people who challenge what art is, who are innovative, who are unconventional and who have similar goals and visions for their art as I do.

How has your work evolved over the past 3 years?

Through learning new techniques & experimenting with different materials I have realised that the limits are - in fact - endless when it comes to art. This mindset has made a positive impact on my work.

How can art and design contribute to society?

Art, much like music, is a universal language. People connect with it. It can voice the opinions of someone who is unable to do it themselves.

Art and design are what makes everything we know. It can be found in every single object and building we encounter.

Where would you like to work after university?

I would love to travel and get as much inspiration from people and culture. Then gain some experience with my cousin in the Philippines who is a practicing jeweller because I don’t think you can ever stop learning. And then return to combine the two.
