Student Biography

When were you born?

28th December, 1985.

What is your background?

I grew up on a farm in a small town called Walcha in New South Wales.

I have lived in Sydney throughout my school and university days, but try and get home as much as possible…

What inspired you to become an artist or designer?

For as long as I can remember I’ve had a love for art, that I guess stems from being surrounded by artists and creative people while growing up, but for me design is something that gives a little more room for creative expression.

How can art and design contribute to society?

Designers have an increasingly important responsibility to continuously search for innovative solutions for the problems we face in our everyday lives, as well as paving the way to solve the bigger problems our world faces, such as sustainability.

Where would you like to work after university?

An innovative and exciting workplace where I can continue to expand my creativity, working from a broad design palette, with a focus on spatial design.
