Shadows in the urban environment. The physical deformity implied through tweaking the ubiquitous icon of the hoodie. Denial of dycryptification.

RECONFIGURANCE as a methodology

"RECONFIGURANCE"of ubiquitous domestic paraphernalia, subtly jilting form and structure to reopen an item to new imaginings, and, more specifically to imply physical or functional abnormality. Outsourcing of fabrication has maintained a sense of genuine manufacture that I believe cements a reality and a physical relevance to my viewer.

An ongoing collaboration with fellow COFA graduate Dave Withers has yielded 3 exhibitions and cemented the similarities of our practices. Our collaboration has focussed upon creating total installation environments which vent perceptual aggression through sound and light, reflective of the densely urbanised world that dominates our lives in the inner city.

In 2008, I aim to complete BFA Honours and maintain a strong collaborative exhibiting presence with Dave Withers. NB. 2008 First Draft show pending.

3 aspirations I have are: commercial representation, overseas residency and exhibition within Primavera at the MCA.
