Inspiration for This Work

All the clothes were designed with the needs and wants of the focus market. There was a consistent desire for natural fabrics, so both these garments are made from linen and cotton.

The pants were made from a dress, while the skirt primarily came from a shirt. Both have simple structures with a something extra in the adjustable detail.

Student Biography

The appeal of design is that the ideals of design are inclusive of both aesthetics and function. Creations are seen as a whole, so that it is so important to balance the see-saw of how something works, with how it looks. I am attracted to the logical way that we must consider the practicalities of our products, but satisfied by making aesthetics a necessity.

I include in my designs what I find most alluring in my environment, something simple and fresh, with the slightly unexpected, the surprise that we find in the shadows. I believe that these small details are vital to making things amazing.
