Inspiration for This Work

These clothes were inspired by the desire to provide stylish, comfortable, environmentally sustainable clothing for the 50+ market.

The aim was to provide a product that is difficult to find in the market already. The pieces are adjustable to the ever-changing body, and made from recycled fabrics and garments.

Student Biography

The appeal of design is that the ideals of design are inclusive of both aesthetics and function. Creations are seen as a whole, so that it is so important to balance the see-saw of how something works, with how it looks. I am attracted to the logical way that we must consider the practicalities of our products, but satisfied by making aesthetics a necessity.

I include in my designs what I find most alluring in my environment, something simple and fresh, with the slightly unexpected, the surprise that we find in the shadows. I believe that these small details are vital to making things amazing.
