Inspiration for This Work

“I Am Informative” is a system that aims to solve the communication problems in retail stores that are operated by one staff person. Difficulty in verbal communication occurs when there is more than one customer in the store. According to the style and characteristics of each space, the design of the system would appear differently in order to achieve harmony with the existing environment. ”I Am Informative” incorporates the ‘x’ of its existing brand identity, the heritage of the store’s location and the idea of highlighting in books that formed the conceptual framework.

Student Biography

When were you born?

The sixth month of the year of pig, 1983.

What is your background?

I am from a family of 4 in Hong Kong and bring the only one who chose to explore the wonderful typographic design world in my family.

What inspired you to become an artist or designer?

I am inspired by my daily life :-)

Who would you like to work in collaboration with or create something for?

Droog, Frost*, Experimental Jetset, Toko, Keith Tam, Zak Kyes, Kenya Hara…Otl Aicher!

How has your work evolved over the past 3 years?

I started off as a piece of blank paper and now I am a small collection of visual journals; keep stacking up still.

Where would you like to work after university?

Any where that I feel comfortable working; with Australia 1st on my list, Netherlands the 2nd.
