Student Biography

What inspired you to become an artist or designer?

Where the Wild Things Are, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, crayons, robots, Super Mario 3, Doraemon, Totoro, the big banana, the jungle book, trees, Batman, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Mum and Dad

Who would you like to work in collaboration with or create something for?

Pixar.

How has your work evolved over the past 3 years?

For the first three years of my degree I had no design direction. I was stuck between environment design and commercial graphic design. The freedom of the 4th year major project and honours research has renewed my childhood interest in cartooning and has lead me to the medium of comics. To me, comics are the ultimate example of graphic design.

Where would you like to work after university?

Overseas.
