Student Biography

I believe design is important because it enables exchange of ideas and opinions and connects people on different levels. It educates and provides aid and convenience to our everyday lives. It challenges the old and explores the new. It is the outlet for innovation and creativity, and finds a balance between function and aesthetic. Design is exciting because it is challenging and involves a multi-layered process. It is about creating something from nothing. Design inspires and makes a difference. These are the reasons why I love designing.

I have always been a visual and creative person and studying Design was a natural progression from my childhood interests. While I call myself a multidisciplinary designer, my currents strengths and interests lie in graphics, media and photography. The inspiration for my work comes from my immediate environment – the people, objects and spaces I am surrounded by. After uni, I hope to work in a dynamic and versatile studio environment that continues to challenge me and help me grow, both technically and mentally. Ideally, it will be a graphics-based role, however I am open to whatever gets thrown my way.
