Inspiration for This Work

In light of the impending fuel crisis and over population, shelter will need to be redesigned to cope with these changes. Shelter will become increasingly compact and furnishings designed to be multi functional. Construction and design of living spaces will aim to utilise recycled materials and energy efficient production methods.

Student Biography

Jack's expertise is in exploring design in all its avenues. His major areas of study range from objects, graphic to environmental/spatial design. Jack's current interests lie in exploring the relationship between sustainability and design at a broad level, from detailed objects, urban spaces and ultimately city form. Jack is currently managing his own design studio and working as a designer in a landscape architecture firm where he works within the project teams, utilising his expertise in 2D/3D applications and his diverse design background to explore ways to express project ideas and concepts in a wide range of media.
