Inspiration for This Work

Post Traumatic Lamp. This lamp is based on Socio-psychological researches on colour, sight and textile senses. It is a therapeutic lamp that helps patients who are suffering from phobias or post-traumas. It facilitates patients through their systematic desensitization process.

When were you born?

Born in Singapore in 1982.

What is your background?

From Singapore, with a modern Asian up-bringing. Basically an environment that keeps traditions with modern understanding.

What inspired you to become an artist or designer?

My very first design project with tissue boxes and toilet rolls. I loved what I could do with everyday things and make them purposeful.

How has your work evolved over the past 3 years?

With a better understanding of the world, people and technology, I have inculcated the habit of more thinking and consideration before saying, "Yes, this is it! "
