Inspiration for This Work

Excerpt of the video installation ‘My Oz’ (2004). It was inspired by my first experience and impression of living in Australia. I was especially fascinated by the strong difference between urban and rural Australia, which I express through the juxtaposition of sound and image.

Student Biography

Eva Müller is a multi-media artist, born 1975 in Austria. There she first studied architecture and then InterMedia. Now she is based in Sydney and after finishing the Master of Art she will begin a research degree at COFA about sound in theatre and performance.

Eva has a strong urge to explore unknown fields and to gain new experiences. Hence she is an all-rounder and an interdisciplinary media artist. Whatever she does, she combines it with her love for sound and movement, technology and arts, theatre and design. Specializing in sound, video and performance, her artworks include theatre & dance performances, installations, photography, graphic & web design. Her aim is to create holistic experiences, which touch all senses and make us think around the corner.
