Inspiration for This Work

This project was a designed to be a travelling theatre for Timore Leste. It was designed to be fully portable, and details instructions for assembly.

Student Biography

When were you born?

I grew up in the rural setting of Albury, on the border of NSW and Victoria.

What is your background?

My family has a strong Dutch heritage, and a long history in the nursery and landscaping profession.

What inspired you to become an artist or designer?

I felt that a career in design was most suited to me, as it is an area that will always offer new and exciting challenges.

How has your work evolved over the past 3 years?

My work has become focused on finding ways in which we can rekindle our lost link to nature, especially by exploring ways in which this can be achieved within the built environment.

How can art and design contribute to society?

With the current environmental crises, design is an area that can have a huge impact on today's society by challenging accepted notions and finding creative and inspiring solutions.

Where would you like to work after university?

Within an architectural or landscape design studio.
