Inspiration for This Work

Having recently started playing the cello, it was my inspiration to create this 3D model using Maya. The lighting is dim and atmospheric to reflect the mellow sound that the cello makes.

Student Biography

Emily was born in 1987 in China. Ever since she was little she has been intrigued by fantasy and mythology. Novels, movies, comics and animation supplied her with fantasy knowledge and imagery, and it has greatly impacted on her visual style and the content of her artworks.

Emily enjoys her Asian and Australian culture and utilises both in her works to reflect her character. In the future, she hopes to have a career in graphics and web design as well as animation and film editing. She hopes to be part of the development of the arts and animation industry in China.
