Inspiration for This Work
These objects were developed as part of a set design for the play The chairs by Eugene Ionesco. The play was to promote sustainability through the re-contextualisation of everyday objects and an exploration of scale.
Student Biography
What inspired you to become an artist or designer?
I like the opportunity design provides to physically change the world we live in and the potential it has to create entirely new and quirky ideas.
How has your work evolved over the past 3 years?
I've discovered what inspires me and developed working practices that allow that inspiration to manifest itself in my design.
How can art and design contribute to society?
Design is a filter through which people can experience different perspectives. Designers have the clarity of vision to find beauty in the everyday and make every day beautiful.
Where would you like to work after university?
I've always been drawn to the world of theatre and would love to combine my passion for design with my love of the dramatic.
