Inspiration for This Work

The direction of our society through technology and convenience, and the rotten trail of outdated machinery and advancements left behind to reflect upon our future. It shows our species need for construction and constant advancement through a very pointless and interactive means.

Student Biography

As an artist, I try to challenge the common views of technology and society. This is done through the reflection and interaction with complex and outdated machinery in order to comment on society's current development and advancements. The large scale sculptures are usually based around kinesis, and involve some aspect of interaction with the viewer. This level of contact with the work exerts ideas of manual labour and slavery showing a change in order, progress and development within the history of humans. These large constructions inevitably portray the story that is human development and hints at the future showing the desired need for construction, technology, and change within our society.
