Inspiration for This Work

This work is inspired by personal polaroids I have taken through out time. My work is concerned with how photography affects our memory.

When were you born?

Long Island, NY USA

What is your background?

I am of Irish heritage but am a product of American suburban life.

What inspired you to become an artist or designer?

What hasn’t inspired me to become an artist. Art is process that helps me both figure out and express how I understand the world.

How has your work evolved over the past 3 years?

My work just keeps getting smaller. I’m going against the notion that 'if you can’t make it good make it big' The smaller I work the better it gets.

Where would you like to work after university?

Well right now I’m teaching and loving it. Now if only it could take me to Berlin, Paris, Hong Kong, Melbourne or back to Sydney, it would be perfect.
