Inspiration for This Work

The plight of East-Timorese farmers and the need for a sustainable, long-term solution; the slogan 'more than your 2 cents worth' is a play on the saying 'your 2 cents worth', and the fact that buying Fairtrade coffee ensures the farmers are receiving more than the non-fairtrade price of just 2 cents per cup.

Student Biography

I grew up with my family in a small coastal town on the North Coast of New South Wales. My heritage is part-Italian, which has instilled me with great family values. I view design as a means of helping people, and shifting the way we perceive the world for the better. Over the duration of this course I have learnt to design with a strong social conscience, which I believe is an integral part of designing for tomorrow. I hope to work in a creative graphics position, whether in Australia or internationally. I think design opens lots of windows of opportunity, as long as we are receptive to them.
