Inspiration for This Work

Looking to apply a new sustainable textile to the fashion industry. Bamboo fabric proved the most environmentally friendly and aesthetic, so my concept for the designs came from bamboo itself.

The designs were created from hand painting and digital manipulation.

Student Biography

When were you born?

August 1984. Canberra, ACT.

What is your background?

Australia, however people generally assume I must have a touch of Italian/South Pacific/South American? It’s a mystery.

What inspired you to become an artist or designer?

Since I can remember, I’ve always loved to sketch and paint. I also began making my own clothes and jewellery out of a want for more unique designs than what I could find in shops.

Where would you like to work after university?

Anywhere in graphics and/or fashion. I’d also love to someday run my own company.
