Student Biography

What is your background?

Born in Sydney, my background is a mix of Italy, Austria, Germany, Slovenia, Norway and Ireland.

What inspired you to become an artist or designer?

I saw design as a profession that stimulates creativity, manifests beauty, and has the potential to improve people’s lives.

Who would you like to work in collaboration with or create something for?

Almost anyone! Collaboration within and beyond design disciplines can only enrich the outcomes. Combined knowledge and skill is a fascinating thing!

How has your work evolved over the past 3 years?

Over the course of this degree, I’ve begun to clarify my ideas about what design can entail. Seeking an understanding of the impact and the potential of sustainable approaches to designing.

How can art and design contribute to society?

Designers are equipped with the skills to creatively solve problems. If we use our abilities to address social, environmental and economic issues, we could change the wellbeing of people and the planet.

Where would you like to work after university?

With anyone exploring the boundaries of design. Keeping design relevant, exploring possibilities and finding creative solutions.
