Student Biography

I am a cross disciplinary artist, predominantly working in sculpture, video and installation. My work deals with the everyday through material and object experience - my earlier tertiary history included two years of industrial design. This hybrid studio learning has shaped my work into a unique combination of elements of (attempted) functionality with a lo-fi aesthetic, which is always in first draft and subject to flux. I cite Dada, Arte Povera and music/pop culture as core influences in my practise. Throughout my degree I have exhibited within the campus and outside at galleries including Firstdraft, Performance Space/Carriage Works, Space 3, Mori, Horus and Deloris, Wren, Joint Hassles (Melb) and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing.
