Inspiration for This Work

This work was inspired by Susannah Place which is part of the Historic Houses Trust. My aesthetic evolved from the rustic textures of the old building. I created all the illustrations and heading text by hand to reflect the feel of the place and add a personal touch.

Student Biography

When were you born?

I was born on the 27th May 1985.

What is your background?

I have lived on the Northern Beaches, Sydney my whole life.

What inspired you to become an artist or designer?

I have always been inspired by the fashion world and graphic design. I loved art at school so it seemed like a logical route to take.

Who would you like to work in collaboration with or create something for?

I would love to work with the fashion label Diesel. I love their aesthetic and clever advertising.

How has your work evolved over the past 3 years?

My work had dramatically evolved as my skills have improved.

How can art and design contribute to society?

Art and design is everywhere and an important part of society. Without it, life wouldn't be so interesting and everyday life would be harder.

Where would you like to work after university?

I would like to work in the fashion industry at some point in time.
