Amelia Turbiarz
Inspiration for This Work
It's a character design for a book which I am illustrating. It was inspired strongly by native cultures and art.
Student Biography
For me art is more than way of life, it is the essential essence, which keeps me going. I grew up on sci-fi, fantasy and monster movies and anything else that fuelled my imagination of the otherworldly.
As a child, I always loved drawing the creations that buzzed through my imagination. This passion, combined with formal art training throughout my complete school life and a Bachelor of Digital Media degree from The Collage of Fine Arts, has contributed to the current work which I produce.
My art has undergone many changes over the years, and my degree not only helped me create my own style but also reinforced my desire to become a concept artist for the film and/or game industry. My love of art also lent itself to engaging in new forms of the media that were previously unexplored by me, including photography, photo manipulation and design.
