Inspiration for This Work

This project re-interprets a communal living space by removing it from everyday concerns and bringing people together. The design fits into the size of a shipping container and incorporates sustainable technologies.

Student Biography

I was born in Canberra and when I was growing up my family constantly moved around Australia with my Dad’s job. This journey not only gave me great experiences and memories but also allowed me to meet diverse people and get to know a range of different perspectives on life. This open attitude has stayed with me and is how I try to approach design.

My work has a multi-disciplinary aspect by combining my knowledge from graphic, spatial and object design to create a more rounded and resolved end product. The impact of my designs is also very important to me, both how the design impacts upon the user’s experience & values and how it impacts upon the environment. After University I hope I can work with a company that has similar values and can continue to create designs that are sustainable and diverse.
