This is a print that I created using found images combining and rearranging them to create the layout for the print.

Student Biography

When were you born?

October 18th 1983.

What is your background?

I was born in Sydney and have lived in Sydney's eastern suburbs all my life. My parents immigrated from Europe in the 1950's, both at a young age, my Mother came from Sweden my Father from Lithuania.

What inspired you to become an artist or designer?

I have always felt a passion for art and creating, there is great satisfaction in creating something from nothing. My Grandmother is a great source of inspiration for me, she is a great painter and accomplished dressmaker, she has instilled some of her creative personality in me.

Who would you like to work in collaboration with or create something for?

I would like to work with other like minded designers or just creative people with great ideas.

How has your work evolved over the past 3 years?

My work has evolved to value the process of designing, incorporating both research and time for play as integral parts of that process.

How can art and design contribute to society?

Art and design contribute to society in so many ways, many times we don't even realise it is there, from the colours we choose for our homes to architecture or beautiful painting that we may admire. Art and design bring colour, ideas, beauty and imagination into our lives.

Where would you like to work after university?

I would like to combine teaching and my own practice in jewellery and graphic design.
